Common Questions
The questions clients ask most often, plus the ones I wish more people asked.

Yes, and it doesn’t matter where you are in the process. Whether you’re considering a GLP-1, currently on one, or coming off, three months of targeted nutritional support can change what these months mean for your body, whether you end up on the medication or not.
GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound can be powerful tools for blood sugar regulation and weight loss. But the medication does its work on appetite and metabolism. It doesn’t teach your body how to thrive underneath it.
This work happens alongside your prescribing doctor, supporting your body through nutrition while your medical team manages the medication.
All three paths start the same way: Restore, my 3-month foundational program built around HTMA testing, a personalized nutrition plan, and ongoing 1:1 support.

You’ve done the research. You’re weighing the trade-offs. You want the metabolic benefits but you’re cautious about what it might cost you in muscle, energy, or hair on the way there.
Here’s something worth knowing before you decide: the symptoms driving many people toward a GLP-1, blood sugar swings, stubborn weight, fatigue, cravings, often respond meaningfully to three months of foundational work. Some clients find that addressing the underlying drivers shifts their experience enough to want to revisit the conversation with their doctor. Others use this time to prepare their body well for the medication. Either one is a good reason to start here.
In three months we can:
Identify what’s already low through HTMA testing, so you don’t start the medication already depleted
Establish a protein baseline so when appetite drops, your muscle has what it needs to stay
Strengthen digestion before the medication slows everything down
Build the food framework you’ll lean on when nothing sounds appetizing
-
Maybe you’ve noticed your jeans fit looser but your arms feel softer than they used to. The constipation that won’t quit. Hair on the shower wall that didn’t used to be there. Food that just isn’t interesting anymore, even the things you used to love.
These aren’t signs the medication is failing. They’re signs your body needs more nutritional support to do this well. The appetite suppression that makes the medication work is the same thing that makes it hard to get enough protein, minerals, and nutrient-dense food.
In three months we can:
Preserve muscle with strategic protein targets so you lose fat, not lean mass
Replenish minerals and micronutrients through HTMA testing, so we identify what’s actually depleted and rebuild it
Address the digestive side of GLP-1 use (constipation, nausea, reflux) by working on stomach acid, enzymes, and bile flow
Give your hair, skin, and nails what they need to hold up
Stabilize blood sugar beyond the medication’s effect, so you’re not white-knuckling cravings as doses are adjusted
-
You’re anxious about the rebound. You’ve heard the stories, maybe lived an earlier version of one yourself. The weight came off, and now you’re worried it’s going to come back the moment your appetite does.
Rebound isn’t inevitable, but it’s likely if you taper off without a plan. The medication was managing your hunger. If nothing else has changed about how you eat, your hunger is going to come back hungry. The work of these three months is teaching your body, and you, how to hold the change without the medication doing it for you.
In three months we can:
Build the food framework that holds your weight loss after the medication tapers out
Get your hunger cues working again by stabilizing blood sugar and rebuilding mineral status
Rebuild any muscle you may have lost along the way, with strategic protein and the right cellular nutrients
Finish stronger than you started, so the body you’re bringing off the medication is more resilient than the one you brought to it

No. Like most functional nutrition practitioners, I don’t bill insurance. Insurance is structured to cover medical diagnosis and treatment, not foundational nutrition work or the functional testing I rely on. The upside: no insurance company between you and the care you actually need. Some clients use HSA or FSA funds for sessions and testing, check with your plan administrator.

Restore (3 months) is $2,055. Resolve (6 months) is $3,675. Both prices include your initial intake, all functional testing kits, your results sessions, and ongoing 1:1 support.
Restore includes two HTMA tests, one at the start and one at the end, so we can see what actually moved. Resolve includes three tests up front, HTMA, GI-MAP, and MRT, plus a repeat HTMA and GI-MAP at the end to measure progress and identify next steps. Five tests in total. Ordering those on your own, without anyone to interpret them, would run you a significant share of the program fee.
Your custom Vykon supplement protocol is billed separately, since the formulation is built specifically to your HTMA results. Anything outside the Vykon blend is available at a discount through Fullscript. Ordering through my dispensary link may earn me a small commission, and it never affects what I recommend.
Payment plans are available, ask on your Discovery Call. HSA and FSA funds can typically be used for sessions and testing, check with your plan administrator.

I’d rather you didn’t, and there’s good research behind that. A 2022 study published in JAMA Network Open bought the first 30 immune supplements that came up in an Amazon search rated four stars or better, then tested them in a lab. Seventeen of the thirty were inaccurately labeled. Thirteen were misbranded, and nine contained ingredients that weren’t on the label at all. These weren’t obscure products buried on page nine of the results. They were the well-reviewed ones you’d probably pick.
The problem is the marketplace itself: third-party sellers, unclear supply chains, and no reliable way to know whether the bottle in your hand came from the manufacturer or from someone repackaging something else.
So I recommend only practitioner-grade supplements, third-party tested for purity, potency, and freedom from common contaminants. Quality matters at the dose, the form, and the source.
Your Vykon blend is formulated to your HTMA results, which means you’re taking one targeted formulation instead of a cabinet full of bottles you’re guessing at. As your patterns shift, the blend shifts with you. For anything outside the Vykon blend, I share recommendations at a discount through Fullscript, where the supply chain runs from the manufacturer to you. Ordering through my dispensary link may earn me a small commission, and it never affects what I recommend.

It depends on what's going on, but most clients notice meaningful shifts within the first 4-6 weeks, often in energy, sleep, or digestion before anything else. The deeper repair work, rebuilding mineral status, calming inflammation, recalibrating blood sugar, takes the full program. This isn't quick-fix work. It's lasting-change work.

All of my 1:1 work is available remotely or in person. Remote sessions take place over video call, intake and education materials are shared securely online, and your testing kits ship directly to your door.
In-person sessions are available in San Francisco. Everyone else works with me remotely, from anywhere in the U.S.

No. I work alongside your medical care, not in place of it. I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, not a physician. My role is to support your body’s foundations through nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted protocols, and to help you become a more informed advocate for your own care. I encourage you to keep your physician in the loop, and when you bring lab results or specialist findings into our work, we use them to sharpen your plan.
-
Absolutely, and you should keep taking what your doctor prescribed. Nutrition and supplements support the foundations underneath your medications. They don’t replace them. If anything we do together raises questions about your prescriptions, we’ll loop in your prescribing provider. The goal is always to work together, never to second-guess your medical team.
-
Yes. I work with clients through preconception, pregnancy, and the postpartum window. These are some of the most nutritionally demanding seasons of a woman’s life, and the right foundational support can make an enormous difference in how you feel and how your body recovers. We always coordinate with your OB or midwife, and any recommendations are calibrated to where you are in your pregnancy or postpartum journey.
-
Yes. Adolescence is a critical window for building lifelong foundations around blood sugar, digestion, sleep, and minerals. The issues that surface in the teen years (acne, mood shifts, irregular cycles, fatigue, anxiety) often respond well to nutritional support. And for teen athletes especially, things like cramps during games, energy crashes after hard practices, and poor recovery aren't just inconvenient. They're signals worth paying attention to.
I work with teens 1:1 in either Restore or Resolve, with a parent or guardian involved throughout. The program is the same. The conversation is calibrated to where they are.

Both are 1:1 programs built on the same foundation: comprehensive intake, HTMA mineral testing, a custom Vykon supplement protocol, and ongoing 1:1 support. The difference is depth.
Both are 1:1 programs built on the same foundation: comprehensive intake, HTMA mineral testing, a custom Vykon supplement protocol, ongoing 1:1 support, and retesting at the end so we can see what moved. The difference is depth.
Restore runs three months. It strengthens the core systems most people need to address first: nutrient-dense diet, digestion, blood sugar, sleep, and stress. Two HTMA tests bookend the work, one at the start and one at the end. This is where most clients begin.
Resolve runs six months and is for clients with more complex or persistent symptoms. It adds Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) stool analysis and Mediator Release Test (MRT) food sensitivity testing to uncover the gut and immune drivers underneath. At the end we repeat the HTMA and GI-MAP to measure progress and identify next steps.
If you're not sure which fits, let's talk it through on a Discovery Call.
-
Yes. I currently offer standalone HTMA testing. This includes the HTMA test kit, intake forms, and a 90-minute results session.
I believe HTMA is most powerful when paired with the sustained support and personalized protocol you get in the Restore or Resolve programs. Standalone testing tells you what’s going on. The programs help you do something about it.
-
HTMA measures the mineral patterns in your body at the cellular level, patterns that standard bloodwork doesn’t capture. Blood tests reflect what’s circulating right now; hair reflects what’s been happening over the past three to four months. From those patterns we can see hidden stressors, deficiencies, and imbalances that drive symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, mood shifts, and sleep disruption, long before anything shows up on a conventional lab. It also informs your custom Vykon supplement blend, so you’re getting exactly what your body needs, not a generic multivitamin.
-
Maybe, maybe not, and rarely all of them. I don’t believe in blanket elimination as a starting point. We use your testing and your symptoms to figure out which foods, if any, are actually causing you problems, and we approach changes strategically, not punitively. If something needs to come out, it’s for a reason, and usually for a defined window, not forever.
-
If we’re past the first month and you decide the program isn’t working for you, we’ll talk. After the first month of the program, I’ll pro-rate the remaining program fee and refund the unused portion. Testing costs are non-refundable, since labs are billed upfront the moment your kit ships.
My goal is for you to feel well, not to keep you in a program that isn’t serving you. If we’re not the right fit, I’d rather know early so we can change course.
